Weather in April: Spring Sailing Magic
April is a beautiful time to sail the Ionian. The islands are lush with wildflowers, the sea is calm and quiet, and the summer crowds haven’t yet arrived.
You can expect daytime temperatures between 65–75°F (18–24°C), with plenty of sun and fresh coastal breezes. Evenings can be cooler—perfect for cozy layers, stargazing from the deck, or sipping something warm at a taverna by the sea.
While the weather is generally mild, occasional spring showers or windy spells are possible. We embrace a go-with-the-flow mindset and adapt our route to keep things comfortable and safe.
What to pack:
Layers are key! Bring a light jacket, a warm sweater or fleece for evenings, a windbreaker, and your swimsuit. The sea is swimmable for many in April, especially on sunny days, and there’s always the deck for soaking up the warmth.
